Modern Iraq lies on the territory of the ancient fascinating Mesopotamia, one of the centers of antiquity. However, the glorious history of this nation fades away, being blurred by the latest events that made the territory one of the most dangerous places to visit. The repeated conflicts with Kuwait, Iran or western countries are enough to keep most potential visitors away. Iraq has made the front page repeatedly over the last decade, but unfortunately none of the events presented was something locals could pride with. With an uncertain future, all that remains is the struggle to rebuild what was once a glorious rich territory. And as if this was not enough, the religious and political tension culminates with the almost constant terrorist attacks. Any visit to this country could be life threatening so this is definitely not the right time for visitors.
