: South America
Romanticism, dances and joy are perhaps the cliches that define most South American countries. Venezuela, however, is completely different, being mainly famous for its oil industry, the unique style of President Hugo Chavez or, why not, the beautiful girls, occasional winners of worldwide beauty pageants. This is rather unfortunate, because the beauty and variety of the country is definitely worth more attention from international visitors.
Venezuela is home to the longest Caribbean coastline in the world, defined by their crystal clear seas and the rich wildlife activity. Perhaps the major destination for most visitors is the world's highest waterfall, Salto Angel, which measures just under 1000 meters. The best time to visit the country is when the most important festivals of the year are organized. Finally, Venezuela is also the perfect place for some adventure. Windsurfing, hiking, paragliding, scuba diving or snorkeling are just some of the activities you can opt for.
The cam privides a 180°-view overlooking Porlamar, installed on the rooftop from Hotel Margarita Beach Plaza on Santiago Marino Avenue. Watch the fishermen
doing their work or observe a typical venezuelan beachparty, or see ships and sailing-yachts leaving and arriving or observe the sometimes busy city. On clear days you can even see Venezuelas
mainland on the horizon at a distance of 40 kilometers! Request access-code for operating (pan/tilt/26xzoom)cam yourself!
