Delaware is known as the first state to ratify the Constitution, which gives it a historical advantage. Even so, most visitors seem more attracted to the tinier Rhode Island, almost forgetting about all the things they could experience on a trip here. Most people know Delaware as a low-tax haven or the place where some of the largest corporations in the country established their headquarters.
The state is also one of the cleanest places in the US and perhaps the best place to be when events such as the National Park Week are organized. The soundness and coziness of the small towns also impresses, while the beaches are ideal if you are looking to spend a holiday relaxing. Safety is another aspect that makes Delaware a destination worth visiting. Dover and Wilmington should also be included in your itinerary if you ever decide to give the state a chance and explore it.
